Meet Bernard, the owner of Meli Melo. For nine years he has been bringing very fine tasting and visually exciting French food to the lower Madison Ave. area (around 30th St.). Using old French recipes, with a few twists and turns, creates modern New York delights for the eye and palette. To our surprise, he insists upon very fair prices, with all entrees under $20. Deserts run about $7. Combine this with a romantic atmosphere and the synergy blends into a wonderful evening.
Chocolate is definitely addictive and it is a mood stabilizer; when people are down there is a reason why they crave chocolate: they get a caffeine rush which lifts them up. People definitely do crave chocolate and that is the reason there are so many chocolate desserts on his menu it's not just by chance.
Corine's Picks: Start off with the Onion Tart appetizer. Also try the Crab Cake appetizer. Chef Bernard's Chocolate desserts are my pick to the most decadent and sensual chocolate desserts I have ever tasted. His desserts are scrumptious, decadent, sensual and sexual. Try the chocolate temptation.
